Key points
- The only official website for the Azerbaijan e visa is evisa.gov.az. The address must end in .gov.az.
- The official standard fee is USD 29 (USD 20 state fee plus USD 9 service fee). Many lookalike sites charge two or three times more.
- Agencies are legal if they are honest about being private and show their own fee separately from the official fee.
- You can check any e visa, however it was bought, on the official status page.
- Azerbaijani embassies cannot issue or change e visas. Questions go to the portal's contact page or info@evisa.gov.az.

What is the official Azerbaijan e visa website?
The ASAN Visa system is run by the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan. Its only website is evisa.gov.az. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Azerbaijani embassies point to this one address and no other.
Search results are full of sites with "Azerbaijan", "evisa" or "ASAN" in their names. Some sit above the real portal as paid adverts. Many of them use the national flag, official looking logos and words like "official" or "government". None of that makes them official. The domain is the only reliable test.
Look at the address bar, not the page design. The real portal ends in .gov.az. Anything else, such as .com, .org, .net, .it.com or .com.az, is not the government.
How to spot a lookalike site
- The address does not end in .gov.az, or it adds extra words or letters around evisa.
- The price is higher than USD 29 for a standard e visa, and the page does not say how much goes to the government.
- There is no company name, address or registration number on the site, or the small print says it is "not affiliated with any government".
- It asks you to pay for "processing" before you see the official form.
- It sells a multiple entry e visa or an e visa for more than 30 days. The portal offers single entry e visas for up to 30 days.
- Its support email or phone is not on a .gov.az domain, but it presents itself as the government.
Official portal, honest agency, or lookalike?
Using a private service is legal. Some people prefer help with the form, a check of their passport scan, or support in their language. The problem is not the agency, it is hiding what you pay and who you pay.
| Official portal (evisa.gov.az) | Honest private service | Lookalike site | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Says who it is | Yes, ASAN under the President | Yes, a named private company | Often hides it, or looks like the government |
| Official fee | USD 29 standard; urgent shown in the form, about USD 59 | Shown as a separate line | Mixed into one total |
| Service fee | None on top | Shown as a separate line | Often unclear, total two or three times the official fee |
| Who decides on the visa | The government | The government | The government, if it files at all |
Where Sroky fits
Sroky is a private company too, not the government. In the app, the official fee and the Sroky fee (USD 39 standard, USD 69 urgent) are shown as two separate lines, the team files your application on evisa.gov.az, and the government decides. You can always skip us and apply alone on the official portal for the official fee only. Compare costs in our e visa fees guide.
I already paid a lookalike site. What now?
- 1
Check if a real visa exists
Go to the official status page and look up your application. If the site really filed it, you will find a valid e visa there, and you can travel with it.
- 2
If you received a PDF, check it on the portal
A real e visa can be found in the official system. Do not trust a PDF that the status page does not confirm.
- 3
If there is no visa, apply yourself
Apply on evisa.gov.az. With less than 3 working days before your flight, choose urgent processing (within 3 hours).
- 4
Ask your bank about the payment
Contact your card issuer and explain what happened. Each bank has its own rules for disputes, so ask them quickly.
- 5
Protect your data
You gave a passport scan and your details. Watch for strange emails, and change any password you reused on that site.
Who to contact about an e visa
Embassies say clearly that they cannot issue, change or approve e visas. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in New Delhi, for example, asks people to send e visa questions through the portal's contact page or to info@evisa.gov.az.
If you need a visa that the portal does not offer, read e visa vs embassy visa and what an e visa is.
Let Sroky file your e visa
Check your passport for free, fill in the application in the app and we file it on the official portal. You pay our fee and the official fee as separate lines.
Frequently asked questions
What is the official website for the Azerbaijan e visa?
Only evisa.gov.az. Any other address, even with the flag and the word official, is not the government portal.
How much does the real Azerbaijan e visa cost?
USD 29 for the standard e visa: a USD 20 state fee and a USD 9 service fee. Urgent costs more, about USD 59; the form shows the exact amount.
Is a visa from an agency site valid?
Yes, if the agency really filed it on the official portal. Check it on the official status page at evisa.gov.az.
Can I get my money back from a lookalike site?
The government cannot refund it, because it was not paid to the government. Ask your bank about a card dispute as soon as you can.
Can the Azerbaijani embassy help with my e visa?
No. Embassies cannot issue or change e visas. Use the portal's contact page or info@evisa.gov.az.
Is Sroky the official e visa site?
