Key points

  • The Saudi tourist e visa is open to citizens of the countries on the official list, which includes Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China, the EU, the UK and the US.
  • Any nationality can also qualify with a valid US, UK or Schengen visit visa, permanent residence in the US, the UK or the EU, or residence in a GCC country.
  • The multiple entry e visa is valid for 1 year and allows up to 90 days in Saudi Arabia. A single entry version is valid for 90 days.
  • The official page lists a USD 80 visa fee, two non refundable digital fees of USD 10.5 each, and health insurance priced by the provider you choose.
  • Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Bangladeshi and Nigerian passports are not on the country list, so they need the visa holder or resident route, or an embassy visa.

Two ways to qualify for the Saudi e visa

Saudi Arabia gives its tourist e visa in two ways. The first depends on your passport: if your country is on the official list, you apply online with your passport alone. The second depends on what you already hold: a visa or residence from certain countries opens the same e visa to almost any nationality.

The tourist e visa covers tourism, events, visits to family and friends, and Umrah outside the Hajj season. It does not allow work, study or Hajj. If you plan Umrah from Baku, read our step by step Umrah from Azerbaijan guide, which covers the Nusuk permit.

Which passports are on the official list?

On 4 November 2026 the official e visa portal showed these countries. Citizens of Hong Kong and Macau apply as China. Countries that are not here can still use the visa holder or resident route.

RegionCountries on the list
AsiaAzerbaijan, Brunei, China (with Hong Kong and Macau), Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Maldives, Singapore, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand, Türkiye, Uzbekistan
EuropeAll EU states, plus Albania, Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom
AmericasBahamas, Barbados, Brazil, Canada, Grenada, Guyana, Mexico, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, United States
AfricaMauritius, Seychelles, South Africa
OceaniaAustralia, New Zealand

The portal home page and its terms page list slightly different countries (Brazil appears only in the terms). If your passport is borderline, start the application: the portal tells you at once whether you can continue.

Holders of US, UK or Schengen visas and residents

This route matters most for people in Baku with Indian, Pakistani, Egyptian, Bangladeshi or Nigerian passports, which are not on the country list. The Saudi KSA Visa platform says holders of US, UK or Schengen visit visas, and permanent residents of the US, the EU or the UK, can get the e visa online or a visa on arrival.

Keep these points in mind before you rely on it:

  • The visa must be a visit visa (tourist or business) and valid when you apply and travel. A student or work visa is not listed.
  • Airlines and border officers often expect the visa to have been used at least once, with an entry stamp from that country. Travel there first if you can.
  • Residents of a GCC country can apply online for the e visa. Visa on arrival is listed only for visa holders and US, UK or EU permanent residents.
  • An Azerbaijani residence permit does not open this route. Your passport decides, unless you also hold one of the visas above.
  • If you have none of these, apply through a Saudi visa centre or the Saudi embassy that covers where you live.

Fees, validity and how long you can stay

The portal terms say that once you submit, you cannot cancel or ask for a refund, and a refused application is not refunded. The e visa cannot be extended. If it expires before you travel, you apply and pay again.
