Check before you travel

  • Two canada.ca pages differ: 'What you need to enter Canada' (Jul 2026) and the eTA apply page include Indonesia and Malaysia as conditional; the 'citizens from some visa-required countries' page (30 Oct 2026) lists 15 countries without them. The May 2026 IRCC news release and Canada Gazette SOR/2026-87 confirm ID and MY from 26 May 2026, so both are included.
  • Transit visa fee not shown on the fee list page; free transit visa is from general knowledge.
  • Canada Gazette SOR/2026-87 text was not read in full.
  • Whether a paid non-Canadian company may complete an eTA or visa form for a client (IRPA s.91 authorised representatives) was not researched here.
