Canada eTA for select visa-required countries: fee, stay and who needs it
All conditions: travelling by air (fly to or transit a Canadian airport), temporary stay, and either held a Canadian visitor visa in the last 10 years or hold a valid US nonimmigrant visa on the day of applying (does not need to be valid at travel). Otherwise a visitor visa is needed. Car, bus, train or boat (incl. cruise) always needs a visitor visa.
